Perryton sounds like a really wonderful town. I visited the town back in the
mid 80's. I am a pastor looking for a church. If you know of any churches
seeking a pastor with a true pastor's heart. Please forward my email
address.

I grew up in Perryton but left in 1951 to join the service. Some of my
family still reside in Perryton and I ocassionaly visit them there. I also
attend the school reunions. I'm glad to see people in Perryton have the
pride in their town and county to put it on the web. Congratulations

I am planning a trip to Perryton in the spring. It will be part of a Great
Plains trip following the route a wheat harvest crew followed in 1949. I was
15 at the time. The last field of wheat we cut was north of Minot, N.D. I am
looking forward to the trip and the visit to Perryton. Unfortunately, I
don't know the name of the farmer we worked for in the Perryton area. I do
remember the entire crew attended a lively dance at some rural
location...one of those famous Texas dance halls, I suppose. In any case, my
first trip to Texas, Ochiltree County, and Perryton nearly 50 years ago was
enjoyable, and I'm sure my upcoming trip will be the same. By the way, you
have a nice web site.

I was searching your website looking for information on the Museum of the
Plains. My wife, Judith Elizabeth (James) Vinson was born in Perryton and
her wedding dress is in the museum. Also, we received an invitation to a
"Not-A-Dinner" fund drive. We did forward a donation for the museum, which
got me to wondering if there might be a website for the museum. I didn't
find one but, found the Perryton City site. If there is a website please let
me know. Also, if you happen to have made it all the way to the end of this
message, you might give my wife's aunt a call and say hi to her. Her name is
Monia Ellis.....Thanks for making this a pleasant visit.....vic :-)

This is a great site. At last a comprehensive site with links to all the
local sites! This will likely be a first point of contact for many newcomers
(they like to check us out before their first visit). I'd love to see more
Perryton businesses utilizing the internet and the Perryton-Ochiltree
Chamber of Commerce site is a great place for businesses to showcase their
products and services.

Having moved from Perryton only 2 1/2 years ago, I feel now, that there is
still a line of communications that is open to me now that I've found your
web page. I've enjoyed my stroll through your site.
