I have lived in Perryton for about 8 years. I would like to warn anyone who might be moving out of town soon, to never say that you will NEVER move back. I have known several people who said that, and... they moved back. LOL. GREAT TOWN!

Just finished reading the guest book and realize what fond memories of Perryton I have. I lived there from 1959 thru 1972. My family lived on Eton Drive and my father was a chiropractor. We attended the Catholic church. I would love to hear from anyone that might rememer me or any of my family. I am planning to be in the area in the near future to show my husband and son where I grew up. I now live in Mineola, the pineywoods of East Texas. Hope to hear from someone.

I was so glad to see that Perryton had a webpage. This town interests me because an old friend of mine moved there during high school and we completely lost touch.
She use to be my best friend in Port Neches. Corynn Benda are you still there?

Hi, everyone.  I was born in Perryton, raised on a farm south of town, and a Ranger at heart, still.  I'll bet I am the only professional clown to have come from Perryton!!!  I have been a professional clown for 13 1/2 years now. I am sure Mrs. Estep would never have believed I would be doing this when I was in her speech class.
Hello, to all and especially those who graduated in 1968.

I lived in Perryton for a short time between the years of '88 - '89.  I enjoyed the friendships that I made.  I'm looking for a few people:  Nicki (Van Natta) Stenmark,
Samatha (Sammie) Castleberry, & Kathy Green.  Just wanted to catch up with them after all these years.  If anyone knows how to get into contact with them Please e-mail me.
I'd greatly appreciate it.
The website was a huge help & it was great reading all the comments from everyone.

I am looking for Sharon Watson, whom I believe graduated around 1960 from Perryton High School.  Her dad worked for one of the oil companies out of Gray, Oklahoma.  She attended Wayland Baptist College in the early 60s and sang in the choir there.  If anyone knows anything about Sharon, please contact me.  I know she married in the 60s and had a daughter and lived in Dallas area for awhile.  Your help will be appreciated as I try to locate her.

I have enjoyed reading everyone's comments. Most of my
childhood was spent in Perryton-my family moved there in
1969 and left in 1976. I attended 1st through the beginning
of 8th at Central Elementary and PJH. I was in the class of
1981. I have many fond memories, though I have only visited once since we left
and that was in 1987. I am hoping to visit next summer,
as my aunt and uncle still live there. My uncle Mike is
a butcher in the grocery store there.

I would just like to add that Perryton IS a great place to grow up (in the sense that it is safe & small) but the people are rude and snobbish.  I would not go back to that place if someone paid me a million dollars.  The people there like to start rumors that aren't true if they are jealous of you, to try to bring your reputation down.  If you're thinking about visiting or moving there, watch out.  Once you get out of that "rat-hole", you'll see what the 'real world' is like. (And how REAL friends are!)  Anyway, Lacie Dollar, if you're out there, please contact me.  I've been looking for you.  And any more of my REAL friends out there, miss ya'll!  Come visit in Houston, 'cuz you won't catch me in that Hell-hole!

This is Kirstin Dodd. I am Ted B Dodd's daughter. My father was the water manager about 3 years ago. We live in Plano, Texas now, and it is really nice, but it will never compare to Perryton. Perryton has the nicest people in the state of Texas. If you're thinking about moving there you just found somewhere you'll never want to leave. Take it from someone who lived there for 11 years.

   Thank you,

Perryton.com is currently a free service. When most folks find a problem in the site they usually drop me a e-mail and I check it out. I looked into Mr. Hunts complaint below and did find one business that could not be contacted. If anyone has "gone under" please let me know.

I think that this website really needs to be updated so Perryton can join the rest of the world. There are a lot of businesses that have gone under that are still on this website. Perryton could do wonders if it would just join the rest of the world and get a updated website

Hello Perryton,

Just was surfing on the web and found your webpage....I would like to complement you for such a nice webpage. Perryton is an example of what small town America should be, nice people, family, and the backbone of America--our dedicated wheatgrowers and farmers who work so hard to feed America and the world...God Bless them!!

Although I never been to Perryton, I am a Texas resident living in Minnesota. I have family in Dallas and Wylie, Texas...

Keep up the great Work

Denise and Glenn Axelrod
